Leftover food is very common in our kitchens and often we end up with leftover food anyway, which either dully get stowed in the fridge or being thrown away the very next day. Chapati – 2-3

Jaggery – 2 tbsp (powdered)

Ghee – 1 tbsp

Mixed nuts powder – 1 tsp

Cardamom powder – A Pinch


1. Firstly, tear the chapatis roughly and transfer them into a mixer jar

 2. Then add jaggery powder to it and grind to form a coarse mixture of it.

3. Take this mixture into a bowl and add the nuts and cardamom powder.

4. Now add ghee into it.

5. Give it a good mix.

6. Finally, take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into balls.

7. Now serve the yummy and healthy laddoos.

Roti (Chapati) Noodles

Chapatis – 5

Cooking Oil – 3 tsp

Onion (medium-sized and finely chopped)

Half Cup of Cabbage (Finely shredded)

Capsicum (medium-sized and finely chopped)

Green Chili (one, cut into fine small pieces)

Garlic (3 cloves finely chopped)

Carrot (medium-sized, julienne)

Spring Onion 4 tbsp (finely chopped)

2 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp Vinegar

1 tbsp Soy Sauce (optional)

Salt to taste


1. Firstly, take each chapati and make a tight roll of it, and cut them into thin strips.

2. Take a kadhai and heat 3 tsp of oil and saute garlic cloves and green chili.

3. Now add the remaining vegetables to it and saute them until the vegetables shrink.

4. After that add tomato sauce, vinegar, and soy sauce into it and give it a good mix and add salt.

5. Now add the strips of chapatis into it and mix gently. After mixing this whole mixture gently take it from the kadhai and serve it hot.

Chapati (2 or 3, depends on how many pizzas you want to make)

Onion – 1 chopped lengthwise

Capsicum – half chopped lengthwise

Boiled Sweet Corn – 1/3 cup

Grated Cheese – half cup

Oil – 1 tsp to toast

Salt – A Pinch


Mixed herbs

1. Firstly, take a saucepan and add ½ tsp oil and capsicum, onion to it and saute them until they shrink and change color.

2. Now take a Tawa, pan, or medium-sized kadhai (whichever you need) and add 1 tsp oil to it and place a roti over it. Keep the pan/Tawa on medium flame.

3. Now spread the veggies over the chapati and sprinkle some oregano and mixed herbs powder over it.

4. Now add the cheese and cover the chapati with a lid. Cook for at least five to seven minutes on medium flame or unit the cheese melts completely.

5. Take it out when the cheese fully melts and sprinkle some more oregano powder and also sprinkle some red chili flakes over the pizza.

6. Now transfer it to a serving plate and cut it into wedges with the help of a cutter and enjoy.  

Masala Idli

Leftover idlis (8 to 9 pieces)

One medium-sized onion (chopped)

One medium-sized capsicum (chopped)

Oil to fry

2 green chili ( finely chopped)

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

One Tomato (finely chopped)


Turmeric powder 1 tsp

Red chili powder half of tsp

Coriander leaves (finely chopped)

Salt to taste


1. Cut Idlis into small pieces.

2. Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat. Once hot add chopped onion and capsicum. Sprinkle salt over it to speed up the cooking process. Take a frying pan and heat the oil on medium heat and once hot add chopped capsicum and onion to it and sprinkle salt over it and cook it till onion changes its color.

3. Now add green chili and ginger garlic paste to it and sauté the whole mixture for a minute till the smell of garlic goes away.

4. Now add tomatoes and mash them gently, add some water, and mix.

5. Add remaining salt, turmeric, and red chili powder and mix it properly.

6. Now let it cook for a minute.

7. After a minute add chopped idlis and mix it very well with the whole mixture.

8. Lastly add those chopped coriander leaves into it.

9. Finally take it out from the pan and serve.

Masala Khichdi Paratha

Khichdi is so healthy even the leftover should not be wasted. So here is a way of making parathas using leftover khichdi. This masala khichdi paratha is a tasty and healthy breakfast option.


Leftover Khichdi – 1 cup

Whole wheat flour – 1 cup

Besan – 1/2 cup

Red chili powder – 2 1/2 tsp

Sugar – 1/4 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

Coriander – finely chopped 2 tbsp approx.

Ghee – 2 tbsp

Lemon juice – 1 tsp

1/4 tsp asafoetida (Hing)

Salt to taste

Oil for cooking


1. Firstly, combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough using little water.

2. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion into the shape of parathas.

3. Heat a non-stick Tawa (griddle) and cook the paratha using oil/ghee till they turn golden brown in color from both sides.

4. Lastly serve then hot parathas with plain curd.

Curd – 1 cup

Onion – 1 small (finely chopped)

Vegetable oil for cooking

3. Now add the remaining ingredients and give it a good mix.

4. Take a pan and pour little oil on it and heat it.

5. After heating the pan take an adequate amount of batter and pour it onto the pan and spread it uniformly.

6. Let it cooked for 3-4 minutes and then fry it from another side for another five minutes.

7. After they turn golden brown in color from both sides, switch off the flame and transfer it onto a serving plate.
